Subminimal Flux – Electric WDT Tool for Better Espresso
Meet Flux by Subminimal, the electric Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT) tool designed to make espresso preparation faster, easier, and more consistent. This innovative electric espresso distribution tool breaks up coffee clumps, evenly distributes ground coffee, and helps create a level coffee bed for better espresso extraction.
Whether you're a home barista, espresso enthusiast, or specialty coffee professional, Flux simplifies coffee puck preparation with precision, consistency, and effortless control.
Consistent Espresso Distribution, Effortlessly
Uneven coffee grounds and clumping can lead to espresso channeling and inconsistent extraction. Flux uses a custom high-torque, micro-geared motor to gently break up clumps and improve coffee grounds distribution before tamping.
The result? A more uniform coffee bed, improved puck preparation, and the potential for more balanced, repeatable espresso shots.
Automatic Dual-Speed WDT Technology
Flux features an intelligent two-stage spinning system designed to streamline your espresso workflow:
-
600 or 800 RPM fast speed: Quickly breaks up clumps and distributes coffee grounds throughout your portafilter basket.
-
Automatic 350 RPM slow finish: When you release the touch button, Flux automatically runs a four-second slow spin to help settle and level the coffee bed.
-
Simple one-button operation: Enjoy precise coffee distribution without repetitive manual stirring or wrist movements.
Fast distribution. Slow finishing. Better-prepared espresso.
Adjustable WDT Needles for Precision
Customize your espresso distribution technique with adjustable magnetic needles. Keep the needles parallel for precise, concentrated distribution or fan them outward to cover more of the coffee bed in less time.
The magnetic needle system makes it easy to replace, adjust, or remove needles to suit your portafilter and coffee preparation preferences.
