The MaraX is a work of art + functions well. The design is extremely beautiful, with brushed steel for the main body and chromed steel for the E61 group head. If you love the feeling of flipping the lever and pulling the shot yourself, instead of the pressing a button, then this could be the machine for you. The steam wand is very powerful and definitely has enough power to steam milk for a few cups. For the MaraX set-up, Lelit also gives you some washing tools and a tamper to get the set-up started!
And yes, there are dual-boilers out there, but I dare say that for dual-boilers around this price point, materials or build quality will be skimped. If you’re looking at this price point, this machine has all the edges. Make sure to pair it with a good grinder to do the MaraX justice! (I got the DF64)

1 week in using the new Lelit MaraX and it have been hugely enjoyable. Even though it is one of the smallest E61 group head prosumer espresso machine available in the market, no corners were cut to build this machine. I am impressed by the quality and technology put into such a small package and given the price; it is a steal. This machine makes other HX machine looks outdated.
I like the E61 group head, quiet pump, concealed switches, slot-in tank (no ugly tubes), and who can forget the beautiful tamper that is usable.
There are little to dislike about the MaraX and what you are going to read will be nit-picking. I wish that the steam tip provided was bigger, a better-quality filter basket and a right-angled power cable to be more flushed to the wall.
I highly suggest owners this machine to get a naked portafilter, a competition filter basket to make your brewing more enjoyable.
