Better temperature stability than the La Marzocco Linea
Some issues. The Linea Steam boiler at the back and secondary boiler which supplies both groupheads are just behind the groupheads.
How is this better than a normal heat exchanger?
Standard Heat Exchanger on the Zoe and F18 SB: Water is heated by steam boiler and goes into the grouphead. When not used, water just circulates in the system.
Modified Heat Exchanger on the D8: Water goes through the steam boiler and also circulates around the grouphead for maximum heat efficiency. All capabilities of a multi boiler machine on a single boiler platform.
Used for World Barista Championship. Ran a shot every 10,5,2 mins
Life Cycle Testing with colours
Colours don't fade. Tested under 3 weeks of sunlight.
Why would you buy a Sanremo F18 SB over the Sanremo D8?
If you are maximising volume, the F18 SB can do 450-500 cups. A higher volume.
It has better temperature stability. It also has timed pre-infusion
