Tasting Experience
You will get a cocoa sweetness upfront, followed by strong hints of dried stone fruit and caramel, ending with a citrusy sweet aftertaste. Fret not, this huila's acidity is crisp, making the overall flavour perception exciting, leaving your palate delighted with a lingering sweet taste of calmness.
Farm Information
Huila is located in the south eastern part of Colombia. This region is characterized by its fertile valleys and snow-capped volcanoes that for millions of years have enriched its soils with volcanic ashes. Huila ́s coffee, which results of the work of more than 70 thousand coffee growing families is known for having an exquisite and consistent, balanced taste and aroma.
Colombia’s Famous Trademark.
Colombian coffees are supposed to be moderate, with good balance, chocolate tones, some ripe stone fruit, and to be among the most fragrant. You expect a cup with a classic flavour. Well, so far with the Huila. It is all of those. But you also expect a crisp acidity, and that’s where things go off the tracks. This Huila is low in acidity–more like a Brazilian or Indonesian coffee. That made the cup seem a little richer, with more body than a Colombia coffee should have. Colombian coffee is often regarded as some of the highest quality coffee in the world.
